DETERMINING YOUR GATE DIMENSIONS
By Williams Gate Works
In the case you want an arch-top gate to match your existing arch-top opening (radius, height and width), you must provide us with the following three dimensions:
- Measure the horizontal distance (A) between your existing posts, columns, or walls.
- Measure the vertical distance (B) from the ground to the beginning of the arch.
- Measure the vertical distance (C) from the ground to the top of the arch.
In the case where you wish to put a flat-top gate in a pre-existing arch-top opening, you need only provide us with measurement A and your desired gate height.
In the case you have an existing rectangular opening, you must provide us with the following two dimensions:
- Measure the horizontal distance (A) in between your existing posts, columns, or walls.
- Measure the vertical distance (B) from the ground to your desired gate height.
Keep in mind measurement B is only your desired gate height, and may not necessarily correspond to the height of your existing posts, columns, or walls.
